EA SPORTS World Community Member Spotlight: POETICDRINK2U

This week's EA SPORTS Featured Profile is POETICDRINK2U, who is one of our moderators on the Fight Night boards. Like P403N1XRIS3N , I had the pleasure of meeting POETICDRINK2U back at our Fight Night Round 4 community day. POETICDRINK2U knows as much about boxing and the Fight Night video game as anyone that I have ever met. If POETICDRINK2U tells you a fighter is good, then he is good. He is an honest and outgoing guy who anyone interested in the Fight Night series should be in contact with on a regular basis. I know I like forward to many battles with him once Fight Night Round 4 releases. POETICDRINK2U also has amazing right and left hand power, just ask Jason Thompson who had the pleasure of holding the body bag for him in the gym.

1. What is your first name? Demetrius, haven't been called that since I was 17

2. Where do you live? Newark(Brick City) New Jersey

3. Where did you grow up? I grew up in Newark

4. How old are you? I'm 39

5. How long have you been a gamer? Since Pong and Atari 2600

6. What is the first video game you were ever hooked on? NBA Live, the first one

7. What was your first game console? Atari 5200 actually it was the whole family

8. What console do you play on most now? I play on the Playstation 3

9. What's the story behind your EA ID/Gamertag? My game ID/Gamertag came from me being so creative and poetic. I love creating characters in games

10. How often do you visit EA SPORTS World? I visit EA SPORTS World every time I get a chance. I'll say about 5 or 6 times a day

11. What do you rank as your favorite game right now? I couldn't rank my favorite right now, I have many. I play Title Bout Championship Boxing(text-sim), Killzone 2, Army of Two, NBA 2K9

12. What's the best video game of all-time? Why? I'll have to say Metal Gear Solid 4, It was just a solid game(with customizable weapons..lol) but in sports EA don't kill me; it's NFL 2k5. I liked the presentation, gameplay, graphics, and did I say presentation (weekly wrap ups)

13. What's the most underrated video game? Why? Title Bout Championship Boxing, I know it's a text-sim game, but the true to life results you get are very entertaining, There's so much customization to this game(...ummm Brizzo)

14. What's your best video game story? (e.g. Playing someone famous, beating a friend 100-7 in Madden, etc) Aside from me and my brother being competitive with fighting games, it has to be when EA invited me to the Fight Night Round 4 Community Event. It was a great experience. I'll never forget.

15. Beyond the games, what's your favorite sport(s)? Boxing, Martial Arts, Football, and Basketball

16. Who's your favorite athlete of all-time? It had to Michael Jordan

17. What is your favorite Pro Team? Do you play as them? It was Chicago, but it's Cleveland since Lebron came there. I use them and make some tweaks to them.

18. What is your favorite College team? Do you play as them? The Michigan Wolverines are my favorite college team. I use Michigan or Rutgers when I play the game.

19. When do you play? Does anyone in your family give you a hard time? I play 3 to 4 hours on the weekend or a little longer, My wife gives me a hard time every once in awhile. Everyone else is ok.

20. Have you ever suffered a video game injury? If falling asleep with the controller in your hand and hitting your head on the table counts, yeah.

21. What are your top three favorite non EA games? Title Bout Championship Boxing, NBA 2K5, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

22. Do you play fantasy sports? Which one(s)? No, not yet. I don't have time for it.

23. Did you play sports in school? Which ones and what position? Were you any good? My sports were outside of school. I boxed amateur and pro. I was pretty good, I was 2x Golden Gloves champ, 3x Diamond Gloves champ and 2x State champ.

24. Which EA SPORTS title do you think you are best at? What tip or trick could you recommend to players? I think I'm pretty good in Fight Night Round 3. My tip is to kill the body and clinch when you get a chance.
