The Lowdown

The Nuggets group page here on EA SPORTS World features some of the best NBA LIVE 09 highlights to date. Considering the team is loaded full of talent, it should come as no shock to anyone reading this that Nuggets' players have made nearly as many appearances in the NBA LIVE Top 10 as Kobe and LeBron. The group page does not feature many blogs, but it does have a lot of members who spend time talking live with one another in the "Talk about It" section on the page. Once we get the Nuggets' fans out there blogging, they may have the most active group page on EA SPORTS World despite having thousands of members less than some of the other group pages out there.

Team History

History has not been kind to the Nuggets as they have yet to win a NBA Championship. The biggest accomplishment in Nuggets basketball history would be the unbelievable first round upset that they pulled off on the Seattle Supersonic in 1994. The 8th seed Nuggets lost the first two games of the five game series in Seattle and went home facing elimination. What happened next was history. They won the next two at home and then went on the road and won game five in Seattle to pull off one of the greatest upsets in NBA history.

This year's version of the Nuggets hopes to accomplish far greater things and is well on their way to doing so. The team just wrapped up the franchise's first playoff series win since that 1994 run and is showing no signs of letting up. Led by recently acquired hometown PG Chauncey Billups, the Nuggets seem to be the only team in the West that can challenge the Lakers. Carmello Anthony has had a great series as he looks to break through and reach that same level of stardom of LeBron and D-Wade that everyone thought he would on draft day 2003. Will the Nuggets beat the Lakers and make it to the NBA Championship? I don't know. First, they'll need to get past the streaking Mavericks, but regardless of who Denver plays, they will not be an easy out.

Our challenge to the Nuggets' fans out there: Continue to be active on the site and publish all of your latest videos and blogs relating to your Denver Nuggets to the Nuggets group page. This can be done by choosing the Nuggets under the "Publish to Group" option next to your videos or right under your blogs when you are creating them. We want to use this as a one stop place for community members to go to see the best the Nuggets' fans have to offer on EA SPORTS World. This challenge goes out to all groups out there. We want to see who can be the group that has the most members posting videos and blogs to and interacting on their team's page on a daily basis. Is it going to be the Nuggets' fans or someone else?
