NBA Predictions Playoffs - First Round

WEST

Lakers defeat Jazz, 4-1

Lakers dominate every facet of this series. Utah has played tough at home all year but manage just one more home win before their season ends.

Nuggets defeat Hornets, 4-2

All offence all the time in this series. Who needs defense?   CP3 will put up his usual numbers but he can't match Chauncey Billups and JR Smith.

Blazers defeat Rockets, 4-2

Blazers excited to be in the big show after six years and the adrenaline rush will push them past another disappointing exit from the Rockets. Youth will be served but the Blazers face a possible Laker match up in the second round.

Spurs defeat Mavs, 4-2

The best first round match up. The Spurs experience helps stifle the Mavs who are hot coming into the playoffs. Dallas has trouble with quick guards and there's none better than Tony Parker.

EAST

Cavs defeat Pistons, 4-0 sweep.

The Cavs don't lose at home. Why are Piston's even here? This will get ugly.

Celtics defeat Bulls, 4-3

Without KG it'll be harder and the Bulls have the hot point guard, but the Celtics still have too many weapons and out gun the Bulls in a tougher than expected series.

Magic defeat 76ers, 4-2

The Magic don't need to pulls tricks out of a hat to beat the sinking 76'ers. Orlando is primed to make a surprising run in the East.

Heat defeat Hawks, 4-2

The Heat will ride the DWade train all the way all the way past the high flying Josh Smith and the Hawks. Does one great player in Dwayne Wade equal two very good players in Joe Johnson and Josh Smith? The answer, yes.
