Dwight Howard named Cover Athlete of NBA LIVE 10

Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that Orlando Magic center, Dwight Howard, will be the cover athlete for NBA LIVE 10. A three-time NBA All-Star, Howard is currently looking to lead the Magic franchise to their first NBA Championship. The No. 1 pick of the 2004 NBA Draft was the 2009 NBA Defensive Player of the Year presented by Kia Motors, an All-NBA First Team selection the last two seasons, and stole the show at the 2008 NBA Sprite Slam Dunk Contest with his superhero antics. Additionally, Howard was the starting center of the 2008 U.S. Basketball Men's Senior National Team which won the gold medal at the Olympics in Beijing. NBA LIVE 10 is currently in development under the EA SPORTS brand by EA Canada in Vancouver, B.C. and will be available worldwide this October.

NBA Live needs many improvements... I don't have many complaints about the graphics, but the gameplay needs work.

The Needs Fixed/Added List

1. Silly little glitches with the boundary calls. (when you pass the ball to someone near the halfcourt line and get called for backcourt even thought you didn't cross tp the frontcourt yet. And when you are clearly out of bounds and don't get called)

2. The simple passes that get thrown out of bounds or intercepted because the target of the pass stops moving when you press pass.

3. Players get technicall fouls for more than just 3 in the key. There should be a new feature added where after a player makes a shot you could tap a button to taunt(reppeated taunting results in a T) and if the deffensive player called a foul could argue the call(once again reppeated arguing results in a T) and an ocasional flagrant foul would be nice too.

4. The way players jump for rebounds needs almost completely redesigned.

5. The way the ball travels through the air should be diffent for every players' shots.(not everybody shoots high arching rainbows like Dirk Nowitski)

6. Every made shot looked exactly the same. It'd be nice not to know you've made a shot before it went in.

7. Not every shot swooshes straight in either. The balls needs to hit the rim and bounce in/out ocasionally. And there also needs to be a point in having a backboard. In 09 the ball rarely if ever hit the backboard, espescially on layups.

8. There also should be a way to change your shot(mainly layups) while haning in the air, maybe by pushing the right stick in the direction you want to lean.

9. An online dynasty would be nice, rather than a random series of games called a league. Multi-player trades would be great too for online leagues/dynastys.

10. And there needs to be an actual differance between the free throw shooting of say Mo Williams and Shaqualier (besides the rating)

That's about it I think.
