Prediction: Colorado 29, Florida State 21
Actual: Colorado 21, Florida State 39 Bobby Bowden ran his Seminoles to an upset in his 500'th game as a head coach. The Seminoles beat previously unbeaten Colorado, scoring three times in the last 2:29 of the first half and never looked back.
Prediction: East Carolina 31, Houston 22
Actual: East Carolina 24, Houston 41 It's been a dozen years since Houston knocked off a ranked team. They did it by going full circle, by passing early and very often. Kevin Sumlin's Cougars wracked up a whopping 621 total yards. ECU's opening wins against Virginia Tech and West Virginia feel like a long time ago.
Prediction: USC 36, Oregon State 14
Actual: USC 21, Oregon State 27 Oregon State's Mike Riley pulled a "Stanford" and for the second year in a row USC falls to a team they shouldn't. The Beavers unleashed a surprise rushing attack on the apparently disinterested USC Trojans. Galloping to 189 yards against a Trojan Defense that had only given up an average of 93 yards per game up to Saturday OSU beat the Trojans at home for the second time in a row.
Prediction: Wisconsin 31, Michigan 21
Actual: Wisconsin 25, Michigan 27
Michigan used their week lay off to refocus after getting blitzed by Notre Dame. It took the Wolverines a half to shake the rust off but they came back from 19 down in the second half to hold on to a 2 point win. The Badgers had a chance to tie with 13 seconds to go but missed on a two point conversion.
Prediction: Georgia 27, Alabama 24
Actual: Georgia 30, Alabama 41 At some point the rest of the country will realize just how good Alabama is. They beat Georgia in a classic SEC slugfest. Alabama's defense kept Georgia to just 50 yards on the rushing. It was 31- 0 before the Bulldogs scored. Despite the Tide's youth Nick Saban has a championship ready team.
