This is a BIG weekend in the NCAA and we're ready to hook up with the guys from NCAA Football 09 for the predictions for this week.  Last week, Mike went 7-2.  That puts our overall record at 39-14.

This week we have changed up how we are doing the podcast.  Instead of providing you with one podcast covering our featured games, we are going to record the podcasts in smaller pieces that will be specific to the particular game.  So, if all you are interested in is the Oklahoma versus Texas prediction, you will be able to jump right to our discussion of that game.
We only chose 6 games this week, so let's get to it!

PREDICTION:  Arizona State 23  USC 34

ASU comes into the game riding a three game losing streak.  Mike sees it continuing. USC has to win out and win big just to be in the championship hunt. The Sun Devil's get fried in LA.




PREDICTION:  Oklahoma State 37  Missouri 48

This isn't a Mike's NCAA basketball SIM. Missouri is firing on all cylinders. They can outscore anybody in the country. OSU scored 56 against Texas A&M last week. Mike sees this as an offensive explosion that the Tigers win going away.



 

PREDICTION:  Texas 20  Oklahoma 38

Oklahoma continues to show they're the best team in the country. Texas is the stealth number five coming into the "RED RIVER RIVALRY. Mike just doesn't see how Texas finds enough offense to keep the game close. OU completes passes to eight different recievers on an inexperienced Texas defensive backfield to remain number one in the Big Xll.



PREDICTION:  Purdue 7  Ohio State 35

Ohio State has finally rited the ship. Their QB issue is settled. The running game is solid and their defense is stopping the run. Purdue will throw the ball 70 times but it won't work. Mike SIM's a 28 point blowout , it could be worse than that.



 

PREDICTION:  LSU 14  Florida 20

The SEC battle of the year of the week. Florida smacked Arkansas around last week. Their defense is solid if unspectacular. LSU is young and improving. The Tigers will try to run the ball and control time of possession. Mike says it won't work. The Gators make a play in the fourth quarter to win.



PREDICTION:  Penn State 27  Wisconsin 17

When Wisconsin controls the line of scrimmage they win. They didn't against Ohio State and were exposed. Mike thinks Penn State is the best team in the Big X and will prove it against a game Wisconsin team.
