Peter Moore's Blog: Award Season

April 29, 2009

It's been quite a week for us around here.  No sooner did I get back from a great trip to London, where we were honored with the Grand Prix at the MCV Awards, but then on Monday in New York I'm proud to say that we were awarded, along with our great partners at ESPN, a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Technical Achievement for the EA SPORTS Virtual Playbook.

Being recognized alongside the finest in sports broadcasting for this breakthrough innovation means a great deal to us, especially as it signals real success against our vision to take the EA SPORTS brand even deeper into the greater sports landscape.

In case you haven't yet had the opportunity to see the EA SPORTS Virtual Playbook on ESPN, the technology debuted last fall and delivers "augmented reality" that allows ESPN's NFL analysts to interact in the studio with the virtual players from our 3D game engines to provide insight, education and analysis to fans about key football plays and techniques.  We've really only just begun to scratch the surface on the power of this technology, and I'm excited to see where we go in more sports in the coming months and years. Dear Moore
By not allowing people who rented this game to have created teams/only 12 slots for those who bought it/only one code per game you have basically slapped all of us loyal fans in the face.
Thanks for ruining the ncaa series of games.

i wish to make a formal complaint against a fellow user of TW10, he keeps calling me a cheat in the lobby, surely this can't be allowed, I would like his IP address banned. His username is APITC HNWEDGE, just becasue i have a good record he's telling everyone i got 2 ps3's and now other pple are at it. You may feel the need to check and see for yourself, I've never played against my own ip address and my buddy has never played against his. We play alt and play against everyone who cares to join. Could you please check the ip address's I've played against to confirm this. I wish this to be stopped immediately and I think this user is abusing his rights as in the terms and agreements he obviously accepted before joining your magnificent game

I seen the great videos of Madden 10 it looks hot (the uniform colored shoes that i was asking for is back).I would like to see them make the player uniform more realistic by giving us the option to have our player (Wide Receiver,Running Back etc...) with the mid-cut socks just like in the real game (this would make player model look more realistic).

First of all, nobody cares where you being Peter. Second, nobody cares about those ESPN former JOGS and their football opinion. The only reason they are in sports channel is because they have the inside-your-*** personality that producers of sports shows can't leave without. If they want to impress the rest of us Idiots who dole out $60 every year for a 360 or PS3 version of the pre-historic Madden version they should go back to pre-school and learn how much is 1+1. Never seem a more iliterated people than stupid JOGS. Now as the the game itself, if you want to impress us here are some tips. 1). Speed up the game like on the PC version. 2).Borrow the QB technonlogy from 2k last football game, instead of the pre-historic all QB with the same motion and same passing style you being hand us for the past 20 years. 3). The online playing rooms, should be re-vamped so that you can Play Ranked games with OLD HALL FAMERS players or Old Great clubs, eg. Raiders, Steelers, Cowboys of the 1970's. Its overdue Peter. Also make the online Ranked games two types, the one that you can go for it on 4th down, like now, and the PRO players STR8 one, for serious player, that play serious football. You have to punt the ball when its 4th and 25th, you know like the real pro due. Speed up the GAME as in stopping the CLOCK. You have the QB pratically walking to the line as if he got a Supository stuck up his ***. And the WR and RB running so slow as if the have one also stuck up their respected ***. 4). Let us play with the old great clubs of the 1970's. It was the greatest era of pro-football, and even the 1980's and 1990's. And let people play online with these teams. Its about time. That would be AWESOME. 5). Lets us created our own offensive playbook that we can save and then load to play online with. I'm tired of your corny offensive playbooks dude. The only offensive playbook that Madden had worth something was the 2004 PC version one.

Can we get some decent run blocking the o line is horrible as soon as you get close the o-line suddenly lets the defenders go as if there stuck on stupid also can we get roster updates on a regular when a team makes a trade.More lively commentary have them talk about whats going on in the game not the same sorry lines they said it would be different in 09 cant tell.Computer trades would be nice also can the players be a little bit bigger.the animations in 09 are sluggish the HB run like they are skating on ice sometimes.OH!!!!!!! AND CAN YOU STOP HAVING THESE 200LB RUNNING BACKS STOP THROWING 300 PLUS DEFENDERS AROUND LIKE DOLLS WHEN THEY BREAK TACKLES WITH ONE ARM PLEASE. give us a hole new play book have other teams ask me for trades make it a real franchise not watered down i dont think we are asking to much this is next gen right.A pro bowl were they wear their own helmets half time reports on all the teams that week push the envelope and stop having these 300lb defensive men catch a 200lb HB i thought the ratings meant something i will be back with more suggestions

Also when bringing players to Madden from NCAA how come their status does not follow over such as former award winners and their real stats. also minor things like hair styles a couple of minor things have been left out but hey i'm only a gamer. Thanks for listening
