I found this quote at operationsports.com:

"Sources inside EA Sports have confirmed that NASCAR Kart Racing for the Wii is the only NASCAR video game they will be releasing calendar year 2009.

That means no NASCAR 10 for the 360 or PlayStation 3.

And with EA's NASCAR license expiring after this year, it looks like the state of NASCAR gaming could be in for a major change.

When asked for an official quote, an EA Sports spokesperson confirmed the rumors, but would only go on record to say: "We are continuing our conversations with NASCAR, but nothing has been announced regarding the license or future projects and we don't have any further announcements at this time."

Two Questions:

#1 WHY? The NASCAR series is one of the top 5 most watched sporting events in the United States. Look at the ratings! On some weekends the Sprint Cup Series is the most watched sporting event. The second? The Nationwide Series! Why would EA abandon all their racing fans?

Question #2: If they are not going to release a new title for the PS3 in 2010, then are there any plans to update the cars, drivers, and schedule with updates through the Playstation Network/ Playstation Store?

I think EA is remiss in not releasing a new title and, if they don't have plans to release one this year, they should let other gaming companies have the rights and EA should get out of the racing genre all together! Because let's face it, I know many racing fans besides myself who are tired of not being allowed to create our own racing team and are also tired of only being able to create cars with triple digits for numbers...it's not in the game EA!

Well in my oponion there should be alot of stuff fixed in nhl 09 and nascar 09 I dont know if the ea servers for Nascar are asleep half of the time because I couldn't tell you how many times one of our league races have been screwed up becuase the servers are TERRIBLE if you arn't going to be making a new Nascar game in 10 then a least please get better severs just to make this next year with this game way more enjoyable.NHL 09 I sold that last week the be a pro mode great idea not fixing the dumb glitches in the game not a great idea.I have one question do any of the servers or producers ever play the games they make online like This would be greatly appreciatted!

I have many suggestions for NHL 09 and many other games. One question, do you deliberately withold new features so you can release them next year and say the game has "ALL NEW FEATURES". That critique aside could you please have a more DYNAMIC TRADE FEATURES, as well as BETTER NEGOTIATING capabilities with respect to signing players. Why aren't there bonuses in NHL 09, and why can't we have DYNAMIC ROSTER UPDATES (possibly weekly updates) that can be applied to our dynasty's if we choose. You guys are in van plz figure it out. If ya need help with ideas just ask, and I'm sure there will be many ppl who would be willing to contribute.

Why in the hell did you change the rate at which penalties are called in NHL 09 (360)?? The game is completely unplayable. How do I get my money back, you jack ***?

in NHL you guys have to make it able to create a rink. that would be a big hit, trust me:)
