As atleast 3 top ten teams lose this week,(USC, Florida and The Alabama game tonite) everyone else just waits their turn to move up the ladder. Seems to me this is just a repeat of the 2007 season where noone seemed to want to be #1. Or atleast they aren't playing like it.

The reason I mentioned Wisconsin's "**** poor" schedule is some voters consider a team's chances of winning out when ranking the teams. I think it's a retarded way to rank teams, but so is ranking Wisconsin #4.. I thought there might be a correlation.

And to disagree, Missouri, Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, BYU, and South Florida have had far more impressive wins than Wisconsin. Don't get me wrong; I think the Badgers are good. I just don't see them competing with the elite teams in college football. Wisconsin seems like Tennessee, but maybe they don't ***** themselves in the foot as much as the Vols. Point in case, I don't think they can hang with the bigs. Thanks for responding though.

More questions if you will: Why is FSU so good in the game? And why is Kansas so bad? And are team ratings based on starters or depth?

"what wisconsin has done...a half decent team would go 12-0 with that **** poor schedule."
"look at UGA's schedule"

Why are you talking about games that haven't been played yet? Are polls supposed to be a predictor of the final rankings?

I have no doubt that if UGA or Florida or LSU (or for that matter, Vandy or Kentucky) go 13-0, they'll be ranked #1 in the nation by every poll, ahead of even an undefeated Wisconsin.

But these games haven't been played yet, and right now there are maybe only two teams with really impressive wins under their belts, and those teams are ranked #1 and #3 in this poll. Other than that, Wisconsin's win over Fresno State is just as impressive as anyone else.
